The Office:
The Senior Associate Dean for Clinical Operations, as a representative of the Dean, oversees the clinically-related functions of the clinical departments in the school of medicine and assists the Dean and other senior associate deans in the overall management of the clinical departments and matters related to the financial and clinical integrity of the departments.

Responsibilities include:

• assisting the Dean in resolution of interdepartmental conflicts
• collaborating with other senior leadership in budget planning and oversight
• serving as Co-chair of the UCLA Healthcare Strategy Committee
• Serving as a member of the UCLA Healthcare Executive Committee
• Representing the Dean on the Faculty Practice Group Executive Committee
• Chairing the Committee of the Clinical Chairs
• Assisting in the integration of hospital/departmental goals and operations
• Advising the Dean on all issues related to the functions of the clinical departments
