The Office:
The Associate Vice Chancellor For Finance and Administration, Medical Sciences, and Senior Associate Dean, Finance and Administration, School of Medicine, oversees budget and financial reporting, business services, computing resources, facilities, licensing and visa, and personnel services.

Responsibilities include:

• serving as the principal financial and administrative liaison for the Provost/Dean with the Office of the UCLA Chancellor, other professional schools at UCLA, and other UC campuses involved in health sciences.
• reviewing operating and capital budgets to ensure that expenditures support mission (goals and objectives)
• identifying financial resources to support the school's needs to sustain critical functions and programs
• recommending options for resource distribution, considering need and evaluates other options available to requestors
• providing leadership in human resources management and creating a working environment that promotes positive employee attitudes, effective communication, trust, collaboration, creativity, and optimal productivity
• Coordinating Medical Enterprise involvement in major campus planning initiatives
