The Senior Associate Dean of Graduate Studies for the David Geffen School of Medicine oversees the affairs related to graduate students and postdoctoral fellows associated in the medical school. He is the liaison between the graduate students, faculty, and UCLA DGSOM leadership. As an approachable resource for the graduate and postdoctoral students, you may contact his office to present ideas and feedback.
Responsibilities include:
Develop and coordinate programs for graduate studies and postdoctoral training.Serve as the contact of the Dean's Office for the graduate programs related to the DGSOM.
Represent the Dean's Office in coordination and review of graduate programs.
Represent the DGSOM on national and international level.
Facilitate the recruitment of graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
Facilitate training grant applications and other fund raising efforts for graduate and postdoctoral education.
