Biobasics Laymen Seminar / Research Administrators Campus CommitteeIs proud to present Lenore Arab Ph.D., with a talk entitled "Personalizing Your Nutrition"Dr. Arab's research is aimed at Anticarcinogens in foods (tea components, glucosinolates, carotenoids, tocopherol); diet and cancer progression (apoptosis and angiogenesis), breast cancer; prostate cancer; iron nutriture, prevention of stroke and multi-media, web based approaches to dietary assessment. Dr. Arab has appointments in the Divisions of General Internal Medicine and Health Services Research and the Department of Biological Chemistry at UCLA. Prior to moving to California she has served as professor of epidemiology and nutrition in the Departments of Epidemiology and Nutrition at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for 12 years in the Schools of Medicine and Public Health. In California she founded, as Senior Director and Department Head, Amgen.s Global Epidemiology Department. |
