Navindra P. Seeram, Ph.D., is Assistant Director of UCLA Center for Human Nutrition and Adjunct Assistant Professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He received his doctorate in natural product chemistry from the University of the West Indies and conducted postdoctoral research at Michigan State University. His work has been widely reported in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, trade magazines and at scientific conferences. His 15 years of experience in phytochemicals is currently directed towards the in vitro and in vivo evaluation of foods and dietary supplements for the prevention and treatment of chronic illnesses such as cancer, cardiovascular and neurodegenerative diseases
