DLAM      Behavioral Testing Core

This is an extremely high quality, Defined Flora facility. It has small animal (mouse) irradiators en suite. It houses 3,500 cages and breeds a wide range of inbred, immune deficient, DNA repair deficient and other transgenic strains. The facility is open to members of the CMCR network to supply mouse strains at low cost and to offer related expertise, and also for testing of compounds in vivo. Allied to this resource is the ability to perform a wide array of in vivo radiobiology assays, including bone marrow, small and large intestine, mucositis, lung pneumonitis and fibrosis, kidney, liver, testis, skin wound healing, leg fibrosis, myelitis, brain demyelination and radionecrosis and immune suppression.
